What is a RFP?
Request For Proposal (RFP) Basically you are providing an outline of the services that you need. The LOCAL-PRO will review these details and based on their work load, ability to match the requested services and your suggested start time they will then initiate the process of firming up the details through the messaging application. This often will contact contact information for them so you can reach the LOCAL-PRO through the preferred contact method.
What are all these acronyms?
Many of These terms, not commonly used by the typical consumer but are part of our everyday activities when we shop for products and services. The project definition could be a general contractor, project manager, handyman, you, etc. as an example your project requires moving electrical outlets and your handyman is not an electrician. A Request For Quote (RFQ) is a request for pricing information. Part of the LOCAL-PRO’s job is to define a Scope Of Work(SOW) so they can fulfill a request for quote. This is typically in the form of an estimate.
A Scope Of Work (SOW) is a document that details the project rolls and responsibilities as they have been defined. This is often in the form of a “contract” or may have such details on an agreement or invoice.
